Image Resizer

I built this image resizer because I kept needing to resize screenshots for blog posts and product images for side projects. Opening Photoshop just to crop a 2000px image down to 1200px felt ridiculous. So here's a tool that handles the common stuff without the bloat. What it actually does: Drop an image, set your dimensions, and download. The aspect ratio stays locked by default because nobody wants a stretched logo. You can unlock it if you need square crops or custom ratios. It handles JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and TIFF — and you can convert between formats while resizing, which is handy when you need to turn a PNG screenshot into a compressed WebP for a webpage. The quality slider goes from 1 to 100. I usually keep it around 80-85 for photos — anything above 90 barely makes a visual difference but doubles the file size. Experiment with it; you'll find your sweet spot. One thing I'm stubborn about: nothing leaves your browser. All the resizing uses the Canvas API, so your images stay local. No uploads, no server processing, no "your file will be ready in 3 minutes" nonsense. You can test this — disconnect your internet after loading the page and everything still works fine. Max file size is 50MB, which covers pretty much any photo you'd realistically need to resize. If you're working with RAW files or massive print-resolution images, those are better handled by desktop software anyway.

Everything runs locally via the Canvas API. No registration, no uploads, no privacy concerns. Just resize and go.
